So we had our little Brinners at the Doctor today for her 2 month check (she is actually almost 10 weeks) and shots UGG! She was so so sad. She is such a happy little gal that we never really see her cry. She had great big (as Ethan says) Alligator tears.
She is only in the 10th percentile. She is such a petite little thing. She only weighs 9 lbs 10 oz and is 21.5 inches. (But, this is not from lack of eating. . . she does so every few hours.) She still looks really chunky to me because she is so short and she has such cute little cheeks.
She sleeps really well and keeps everyone in our house smiling. Her little smile just melts anyone in the room. She also loves to talk to the kiddos. She is going to be a little social thing. I can't believe how peaceful she has made our home.
Ethan is the best big brother ever. He absolutely loves helping with Brin. She never spends more than like 2 minutes awake alone. She always has her Ethan talking to her, and showing her toys. . .OK so he still struggles in the little bro department. In fact yesterday he gave Christian a bloody nose during Sacrament meeting. Yes you read that right. I am not sure anyone will sit by us next week. Luckily we had wipes in the diaper bag. One thing he has really enjoyed doing is learning to write a couple things with me. We choose an animal to color each day and then write an E. He is such an adorable sweet little one.
Madison loves gymnastics. She is getting really really good. I can't believe that she has only taken for 4 months. She can do all sorts of really great things. A backbend kick over, a front handspring and tons more, plus she has gotten really flexible. She loves it. She spends all afternoon on her gymnastics mats (Thank-you santa!) She is also starting to practice piano without complaining. We can also spend a lot of time playing babies. Yesterday we named them and her favorite baby got the name Rainbow isn't it cute. She will be a great mommy.
Carson is finally caught up and above his grade level in school. Yeah!!! He has worked so hard at school. I am so grateful his hard work has paid off. He loves to cook. He has gotten really good at making cookies, brownies, cream of wheat, waffles, and even sheperd's pie. We rarely even help him. He is such a happy little 10 year old. We love having him around. He is also having tons of fun with basketball. He has to practice for 4 hours a week and I can really tell he has been practicing. Trevor is helping coach and he loves hanging out with Carson.
Christian is getting so big. He is finally filling out a bit. He still loves to read. He also passed his hunters safety class so he can officially hunt with Trevor this fall. Watch out big game he was a dead shot with the 22 on his shooting test. He came home and showed me how he hit the bunny right in the heart. But, he is starting to notice the girls a bit. He tells me every now and then what Sarah wore or what she did at class. It's so cute. BUT NO TEASING HIM. He loves Karate. He loves to practice karate on his siblings (this might explain why Ethan got him back at church) He is growing up way to fast. I just want him to be my little guy forever. He is only 7 years from his mission. How did this happen?
As for Trevor and I we are plugging along. Staying busy and working hard. We have decided to try and I stress TRY to get the yard in this summer. We have been finishing more and more on the inside and even finally had some bids for our kitchen to be finished. This house has turned out to be a lot of work for us, but I love love love the log home. I know it is surprising, but I do. It is so homey and cozy and totally fun to decorate.
